Colorado Relocation
The State of Colorado, which is located in the Central to North Western United States, received its name from the Spanish which means red or reddish brown. State was admitted into the Union as the 38th U.S. State on August 1st of 1876.
The capital of the State of Colorado is the City of Denver. The State's nickname is The Centennial State and their flag features a large red "C" that surrounds a golden disk that is sitting on a field of three horizontal bands of blue and white. The official seal of the State of Colorado features the coats of arms which are surrounded by the words "State of Colorado 1876." The State of Colorado also has a coat of arms which features shield which in the upper portion of the heraldic shield there are three snow-capped mountains which are surrounded by clouds while in the lower portion of the shield is a miner's pick along with a shovel which lay crossing each other. Above the shield is an eye of God along with Roman fasces both of which symbolizes a republican form of government. Below all is the Colorado State motto.
The State of Colorado has their own state song named "Where the Columbines
Grow." The Colorado State Motto is Nil sine numine which means "Nothing without providence." Their State bird is the lark bunting and the Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep is the State's animal. While the Colorado State's flower may be the columbine, the Colorado State tree is the blue spruce.
The State of Colorado has a State gem, which is the aquamarine. The State fossil was chosen to be the stegosaurus. The State of Colorado celebrates all of the same federal holidays, but they do not have their own state holidays. The holidays celebrated in New York are New Year's Day, the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas
There are many notable locations throughout the State of Colorado that includes their breathtaking scenery along with their world-class skiing in places like the City of Aspen.
